Over six billion souls, fast approaching seven billion.
The world is becoming more congested with each passing day. Wherever we turn, it seems someone has been there, paved it over and littered it with strip malls and fast-food kiosks.
This site is not about those places.
The Lonely Earth profiles the last mile of the road, the far corner of the map, the blank spots between here and there.

Also, these locales are not chosen for their intrinsic beauty or any paticular attractions. Although some of these spots truly possess breathtaking sights, they are chosen for their isolation alone.
